Its only an outline planning application, which focuses on parcels of land&#8217;s properties &amp; overall infrastructure to be provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Junction of the A27, A2038 &amp; Dyke Road will be partially signalised to provide pedestrian (Toucan) crossings and some widened approaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"791\" src=\"https:\/\/sussex-transport.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/image-1024x791.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-843\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sussex-transport.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/image-1024x791.png 1024w, https:\/\/sussex-transport.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/image-300x232.png 300w, https:\/\/sussex-transport.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/image-768x593.png 768w, https:\/\/sussex-transport.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/image.png 1147w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption>A27 junction proposals<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The approved design has quite a few errors on it, but this doesn&#8217;t show how it will be built, but roughly what the design will be like. Much of the cycle provision around the interchange will be of a shared pavement type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"764\" height=\"855\" src=\"https:\/\/sussex-transport.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/image-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-844\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sussex-transport.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/image-1.png 764w, https:\/\/sussex-transport.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/image-1-268x300.png 268w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 764px) 100vw, 764px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Northern access point to the site, which is the sole access point for Phase 1 will be of a standard priority junction type, with a parallel crossing for the foot &amp; cycleways over the entrance. Both sides of King George VI Avenue will have segregated pedestrian &amp; cycleways, strangely with pedestrians between the main carriageway &amp; cycleway. Currently this type of crossing (parallex) needs special authorisation. A Bus gate would be provided on the Eastern side &amp; a two lane approach on the main road.
