On the 10th August the urgency sub committee decided to remove the temporary cycle lanes along Old Shoreham Road, and works to carry this out starts today (13th September). The works will take 6 days to complete and will involve removing the “wands”, removing temporary road markings, repairing the road surface where required & reinstating road markings.
The works will be done over night between 8pm & 4am in two phases. The first phase will be removing the lane on the Southern side, and the second being removing the lane on the Northern side.
The cost of removing the lanes is £75,000.
