Brighton and Hove City Council are currently rolling out their second set of school streets this year, with 3 complete, 1 scheduled for November and 2 for implementation early next year and so far has been a general success.
The City Council has opened a public consultation on 6 new school streets as their third set which would be created in the next financial year (April 23 – March 24) subjected to support & funding. The proposals for these six are a little less ambition than some of the ones this year with them not resulting in road changes limited in signs, gates & some footway widening.
