On the 1st September the traffic signals at Robin Hood Roundabout on the A24 at Horsham were turned on. The roundabout has been under reconstruction and modification over the past half year to turn the former uncontrolled 2 lane roundabout into a signalised roundabout which required significant widening to support traffic stacking.
The new layout has;
Toucan crossings across the northern arm to allow pedestrians and cyclists to safely cross the dual carriageway. There are also short sections of shared cycleways on either side too.
Traffic signal controls on three of the arms.
Widened 4 lane approach from the North on the A24 dual carriageway.
Widened 3 lane approach from the South on the A24 dual carriageway.
