The new shared cycle/footway connecting the village of Findon to Findon Valley, and further onwards to Worthing & the surrounding area has opened.

Despite the village being located close to the town, there was previously only 1 route involving cycling along the A24, this has now been rectified with the previous narrow pavement being replaced by a new smooth 3.5m wide cycle and footway.

£1.2m was spent on the scheme which was funded by the Active Travel Fund Tranche 2.

There are ongoing aspirations to continue the cycle track all the way up the A24, as the existing road is dangerous for NMUs, with practically no alternative route for NMUs to take.
